When it comes to healing, whether from an auto-immune condition, digestive issues, food sensitivities, or anything else, there are many factors that play a role through the process. Good nutrition, reducing stress, and alternative medicine such as acupuncture, amongst other things (just to name a few). Each of these benefits people in a different way and on a unique level.
But there is ONE thing that is absolutely necessary (and beneficial to everyone) in order to start the natural healing process: to believe in yourself.
Our minds and thoughts are so powerful. What we think, we create. Therefore having that strong belief in our inherent abilities to heal and be in vibrant health, without any traces of doubt, is so vital for healing naturally.
The placebo effect is such a perfect example of this. A placebo is any form of “medication” that actually has no therapeutic effect. It’s a neutral pill. And what’s been shown many, many times is that people who unknowingly took a placebo pill actually got better, even though they thought they were taking a real drug.
They believed they were going to get better from the “drug”, and so they did. Talk about the power of the mind, huh?
Once you start believing in the fact that you CAN and WILL go through the natural healing process, things start to shift and miracles happen. It’s about believing that the nourishing food you’re eating is helping your body heal. Believing that your acupuncture treatments are helping you get stronger. It’s about believing that every positive step you’re taking with the intention of healing is actually helping you.
But denying our doubts and fully surrendering to our self-belief can be tough, especially if you’ve been suffering for a long time and don’t see any possible solution.
So what do you do if you’re filled with self-doubt? If you’re feeling like you’re never going to get better, that you’re doomed to suffer with your health issues for the rest of your life?
Fake it ‘til you make it! All this simply means is that you must overshadow your doubts with words and thoughts that express your self-belief… even if you don’t fully believe in them right now.
At first it might feel unnatural. You might feel like you’re telling yourself something that isn’t really “true”. BUT, as long as you have the willingness to replace your self-doubt with self-belief, and as long as you keep going at it, this exercise WILL help you change your mindset.
Whenever you feel any doubts related to your ability to heal, say this:
Repeat this affirmation to yourself multiple times throughout each and every day. Do it first thing in the morning and at night before going to bed. You can also say it any time you feel any self-doubt towards the healing process, which is exactly when you need to be reminded of this truth.
I know that you have the inherent power within you to fully heal. It all starts with believing in yourself. I hope this post serves you on your healing journey.
